Tehran and Seoul discusses Iranian debt before UN

The Government of Iran and South Korea are negotiating the payment of the membership fee of Tehran in the UN. Korean media writes about it.

Yonhap edition argues that Seoul considers Iran’s debt payment in the United Nations with blocked Iranian assets in Korean banks.

previously stated that Iran and 7 other organization member countries lost the right to vote due to non-payment of membership fees in the amount of 18.4 million dollars.

It is noted that for today, more than 7 billion dollars of Iranian assets are in a frozen state in South Korean banks. Tehran repeatedly asked Seoul to defrost his assets.
