The Teknofest Aviation, Cosmos and Technology Festival, which took place on May 1-4 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRK), became the 11th in a row from the launch of the project in 2018.
Over the years of the festival, 10,688,000 people visited the festival, and 3,672,000 contestants and 1,384,575 teams took part in the competitions
The festival in Lefkosha was held under the patronage of the Presidential Administration, with the support of the Turkish and Ministry of Industry and Technologies of the Turkish, on the territory of the old Airport Erzhan.
In four days he was visited by 225 thousand people.
“Teknofest has become one of the leading brands of Turkey. We are glad that we aroused such a high interest in Northern Cyprus: over 47 thousand applications, more than 15 thousand teams in six categories. Through TRSK, such events had not been held before,” said Teknofest General Muhammet Saymaz.

Saymaz added that this year special attention was paid to historical memory: at the beginning of the festival, stands dedicated to the Turkish organization of resistance and Cyprus peacekeeping operation were placed so that young people could personally touch these events, and not just get acquainted with technologies.
“We tried to do for young people in TRSK the same as in Turkey – from air show to scientific workshops. And seeing how even in the rain families with children come here, we understand how much it was necessary and important,” he summed up.
