Temporary restriction on export of solid wheat is introduced in Russia

The Government of the Russian Federation introduced a temporary ban on the export of solid wheat. The corresponding resolution is published on the website of the Russian government.

“The decision is aimed at ensuring food security and will allow maintaining a stable situation with prices from solid wheat products in the domestic market,” the document will say.

A temporary restriction shall enter into force from the moment the government was published and will be valid for May 31, 2024.

At the same time, a number of exceptions are provided for the document when the ban on exports will not be valid. This is also the export of solid wheat to provide international humanitarian aid and within the framework of international intergovernmental agreements, as well as as supplies, according to a message.

At the same time, the participants of the Eurasian Economic Union – Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan – is allowed to export to export, within the limits established by the order of the Government of the quota if there are permissions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
