“The territory where the fires occurred will be mapped. During the autumn season of planting trees, measures will be held in stages to restore forests.” This was stated by Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Firdovsi Aliyev at a press conference to reporters.
According to him, at the first stage of the territory, the territory will be cleared of burned trees, the biological development of which is impossible, after which the seeds of forest trees will be sown in accordance with the climatic condition of the terrain and trees.
“It is gratifying that not the entire forest cover is destroyed. Monitoring of burnt territories continues, after which the restoration of forests will begin,” said F. ALIEV.
The deputy minister also noted that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, with the technical support of the representative office of the food and agricultural organization of the UN (FAO), has prepared the national forest program, which covers 2022-2030, it is already submitted to the relevant structures.
