The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia Buyar Osmani said that how the international community will further respond to the Russian war against Ukraine will become a signal for every country in the world. According to European Pravda, he stated this in Kyiv at a briefing with Ukrainian colleague Dmitry Kuleboy.
“Now Ukraine is on the forefront, protecting the democratic values. The freedom of Northern Macedonia and other democratic countries of the world is now defending in Ukraine, and it deserves our respect and help in its struggle,” said Buyar Osmani.
He emphasized that the international support of Ukraine should intensify and not stop until the end of military operations and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
“The International Democratic Community should not reduce efforts and respond to threats. If we allow this aggression, if we allow peaceful conditions to dictate outside the territory of the attacked country – this will be a signal of weakness in the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country of the world”, – emphasized the head. Foreign Ministry of Northern Macedonia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, for his part, noted that Ukraine and North Macedonia do not see themselves competitors on the European integration path, and the expansion of the European Union for the Balkans and the East is the only way to ensure security and stability in Europe.
