Thousands Of Venezuelans Took Part In Protest Against US Actions And In Support Of Maduro

Thousands of Venezuelans took to the streets to protest against threats from the United States and in support of the country’s President Nicolas Maduro.

In Caracas, participants in a march called “Procession of the Banner and Sword of the Liberator Simon Bolivar” carried huge Venezuelan flags, protesting against the US military presence in the Caribbean.

Participants of the rally called the increase in the American presence in the region a “threat and an act of aggression,” and also chanted slogans in support of Maduro, holding his photo.

Police officers, military officers, militias and numerous citizens took part in the procession. The demonstrators expressed unity in the face of possible US intervention.

Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, who took part in the rally, said that the people are becoming more united every day and are determined to defend their right to live freely.

“Recently, the threats of imperialism and attacks by those who believe that they rule the world have intensified. Their goal is to take possession of Venezuela’s natural resources,” – the minister said.

Previously, the United States added the Cartel de los Soles to the list of foreign terrorist organizations, which, according to Washington, is associated with Maduro and senior Venezuelan officials.

Venezuela regarded this step as an attempt to create a pretext for interference in the internal affairs of the country.

It was also reported that the world’s largest aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and the accompanying strike force sent by the United States under the pretext of “fighting drug trafficking,” they arrived in the Latin American region.

In response, President Maduro announced the mobilization of 4.5 million militias, declaring their readiness to repel any attack.
