The trial in the criminal case of a 36-year-old resident of the city Shirvan Shabn Gadimova, accused of killing his newborn child, ended.
According to haqqın.az, the woman gave birth to a child in Sabirabad Hotel’s bathroom on March 30 this year. At first, she threw the child into the garbage bucket, however, realizing that the baby was still alive, wrapped him in a cellophane package, where he suffocated.
The woman put the body of the child in a backpack, later took the Neftrochlar metro station and threw it next to the Anadola restaurant. In the morning the child’s body was discovered by wipers.
Gadimova was charged under Article 121 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder by the mother of a newborn child). During the investigation, it turned out that Gadimov, whom everyone knew as Nazin, gave birth to a child in the hospital in November 2020, where she abandoned him.
The accused in her testimony stated that she moved from Shirvan to Baku in 2012, worked as a waitress in various nightclubs, met men for money. She stated that she took such a step because she was afraid for his future. Gadimova added that she regrets the deed.
by a court decision, the Shabnam Gadimov was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
