The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan asks the Ministry of Digital Development to block Tiktok in the country.
According to the press service of the department, the appeals with an expression of concern from a number of non-governmental organizations about the harmful effects of the Tiktok social network on the mental development and health of children.
In this regard, the Ministry of Culture monitored content and established that there were no restrictions on access to information that causes harm to health and development of children, as well as the functions of monitoring the age category when accessing information in the Tiktok application.
“taking into account numerous appeals and on the basis of monitoring, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy decided to terminate the Tiktok service in the Kyrgyz Republic,” the message said.
The decision was sent to the Ministry of Construction for further implementation under the legislation of the country.
