Tokaev: Kazakh-Armenian Relations Are Progressively Developing In Many Directions

Currently, Kazakh-Armenian relations are progressively developing in many areas. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at a meeting with the chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alena Simonyan.

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, Tokaev noted that Simonyan’s visit is important for deepening bilateral cooperation, including in terms of his comprehensive support from the legislative bodies.

The head of state emphasized that Armenia is a reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the region of the South Caucasus.

According to Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev, at present Kazakh-Armenian relations are progressively developing in many areas, and this is facilitated by regular political dialogue, as well as the expansion of trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian ties.

In turn, Alain Simonyan emphasized the importance of building a trusting political partnership and strengthening inter -parliamentary interaction as one of the key elements of bilateral dialogue.

In addition, the chairman of the National Assembly announced the interest of Armenia in the active expansion of cooperation with Kazakhstan in the trade and economic sphere. He emphasized the need to take practical measures aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade.

Armenian side also expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for efforts aimed at achieving peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Interlocutors confirmed the commitment to the course of the comprehensive development of Kazakh-Armenian relations in the name of the well-being and prosperity of the peoples of the two countries.
