According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, Tokaev adopted the parliamentary delegation of Singapore, headed by SEA Cea Kian Penom in the Akorda residence.
“We are reliable, time -tested partners. Much has already been done to strengthen our connections, but at the same time we set ourselves high goals to further develop our cooperation,” the president said.
According to the head of the Kazakh state, parliamentary diplomacy plays a crucial role in strengthening international cooperation and promoting dialogue between countries.
Tokaev emphasized that today more than 140 Singapore companies and joint ventures operate in Kazakhstan, while the total investment in Kazakhstan’s economy has exceeded $ 1.4 billion.
In turn, Cea Kian Pen expressed gratitude to the head of the Kazakh state for hospitality and noted the existing huge potential for deepening cooperation.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the prospects of economic and investment interaction.
The issues of regional and international agendas were also discussed.
