Tokaev Praised State Of Kazakh-Finnish Relations

President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev highly appreciated the state of Kazakh-Finnish relations.

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, Tokaev accepted the current chairman of the OSCE, Foreign Minister of Finland Elina Valtonen.

The head of the Kazakh state expressed support for the activities of Elina Valtonen, who led the OSCE in the conditions of an extremely difficult situation in the field of regional and global security.

“This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki final act. After half a century, this document remains the basis of European security, fixing such key principles as sovereignty, the territorial integrity and respect of human rights. Kazakhstan is firmly adhered to these fundamental values,” Tokaev said.

The President also praised the state of Kazakh-Finnish relations. He emphasized that Finland is a long -standing partner of Astana in the Scandinavian region, and announced readiness for further contacts of contacts.

In turn, Elina Valtonen emphasized that the OSCE attaches great importance to the development of connections with Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

“I note your efforts to strengthen the international authority of Kazakhstan, thanks to which the country has established itself as an influential average power in the region and the world. The authority of Kazakhstan is strengthened, including through an active participation in such organizations. We sincerely appreciate your active role in the difficult period, especially in the economic and environmental spheres. It is very fruitful in nature by cooperation with the OSCE Office in the OSCE programs in Astana, ”said the chairman of the OSCE.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan handed over the warm wishes to his Finnish colleague Alexander Stubb and confirmed the readiness for close interaction in the name of strengthening friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
