Tokaev: Slovakia Is An Important And Reliable Partner Of Kazakhstan In Europe

Slovakia is an important and reliable partner of Kazakhstan in Europe. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fitzo.

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, the Acarda residence was a ceremony of the meeting of the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fitzo, who arrived on an official visit to Astana.

During negotiations in the format of TET-A-TET, Tokaev noted that the Prime Minister’s visit to the country will strengthen the Kazakh-Slovak partnership and open up new prospects for bilateral relations.

Upon completion of the meeting in the narrow composition of Tokayev and Fitz, negotiations with the participation of delegations of both countries continued.

”Your country is one of the most active and dynamically developing states of the EU. Many of these achievements indicate your strong leadership at the head of the country’s government. The active position of Slovakia in regional and international affairs reflects your commitment to constructive global interaction. I highly value the strengthening political dialogue, development of economic cooperation and humanitarian exchanges, as well as effective interaction in multilateral format, ”Tokaev said.

The president recalled that relations between Astana and Bratislava are based on a strong legal framework covering the key areas of cooperation. He confirmed the intentions of Kazakhstan to continue close work with Slovakia throughout the spectrum of a bilateral and multilateral agenda.

Pre -attention attention, according to the head of state, should be given to economic partnership. He noted that in the vulgar year, the volume of trade amounted to $ 140 million. More than 30 Slovak companies and 22 joint ventures in various sectors operate in Kazakhstan.

The President of Kazakhstan also emphasized the importance of further diversification of the structure of cooperation.

According to him, new opportunities are opened in areas such as energy, industrial production, agriculture, logistics, digitalization, critical raw materials, education and tourism.

In turn, Robert Fitzo expressed gratitude to Tokaev for the warm welcome, provided to him and the Slovak delegation on Kazakh land.

“I constantly call my colleagues in the European Union not to close only on business within the EU, but to look at the world wider, study the experience of other countries and their achievements. We should strengthen cooperation and more actively interact with partners around the world,” the prime minister said.

During negotiations with the participation of delegations of the two countries, the mutual interest of the parties was confirmed by the further strengthening of partnership and the implementation of new initiatives that contribute to the development of Kazakh-Slovak relations.
