Tons of tomatoes, potatoes and cherries from Azerbaijan were not missed into Russia

The Caucasus Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor in June 2022 banned the import of 530.6 tons of crop production from Azerbaijan into Russia.

Interfax-Azerbaijan, with reference to the Office, notes that in June 2022, 30 commodity parties from Azerbaijan were not allowed to import into the territory of the Russian Federation: 320.9 tons of fresh tomatoes, 99.8 tons of food potatoes and 109.9 tons of fresh cherries .

The basis for the detention was the conclusion of the Dagestan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “All -Russian Center for Plant Quarantine”, which confirmed the fact of the detection of quarantine harmful objects – the South American tomato moth, potato moth (Phthorimaaa Opeerculella (Zelle) and eastern fruit. Grapholitha Molesta). It was decided to return goods to Azerbaijan.
