58th Presidential cycling in Turkey (Tour of Türkiye) will play an important role in the development of the country’s economy and tourism. This was stated by the director of Tour of Türkiye Vladimiros Petsas.
“Bicycle tours are a unique combination of sports, history and tourism, in many respects contributing to the promotion and popularization of the country,” Petatsas explained.
According to him, “the quality of the race complies with world standards.”
He emphasized that “an interest in the competitions is great, although now the off -season.”
“Given that we have finished the racing season, some teams have already made plans for the next year. But the quality of the teams that come here is really very high,” Petatsas said.
Tour of Türkiye started in Alanier on October 8 and will end in Istanbul on Sunday, October 15.
168 cyclists and 24 teams from 36 countries take part in the race.
Cyclists have to overcome 1235 kilometers.
