At least 1,000 tourists were evacuated Thursday morning from the Taj Mahal mausoleum in the Indian city of Agra (Uttar Pradesh) due to the threat of an explosion.
According to the Hindustan Times, citing local police, an emergency evacuation was carried out after a phone call from an unidentified man about the mining of a landmark.
The Taj Mahal complex is cordoned off by the police. Security forces are looking for an explosive device.
