Azerbaijani Kanoe and Rowl (AKAF) revives the traditional Mingiachevir regatta. The competition, which will be held from October 21 to October 23, will take part up to 15 countries. Along with Azerbaijan, teams of Bulgaria, Italy, Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Kazakhstan, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine will fight for the championship.
The official opening ceremony of the regatta and the first day of the competition will be held in Suguushan, released from occupation two years ago. Teams will determine the winner in the categories of baidar and canoe on October 21 at the Sugovushansky reservoir.
This is the second international tournament organized by AKAF in the liberated territories. Earlier, the Federation also organized the President-2022 Cup, dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
On October 22-23, the Mingiachevir Regatta will continue in the center of Olympic education and sports Kür. In Mingiachevir, rowers will compete both in kayaks and canoeing, and in academic species. Winners are waiting for diplomas, medals and cups.
