The fire area in the village of Smolenka in the Trans -Baikal Territory, the subject of the Russian Federation as part of the Far Eastern Federal District, reached 60 hectares. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation.
“The Ministry of Emergencies of Russia protects settlements from natural fires in Transbaikalia. In the area of the village of Smolenka, 60 hectares are burning. The forces of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia impede the transfer of fire to settlements. Aviation of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia is involved in the liquidation,” the report.
The department noted that in total in Transbaikalia 39 forest fires were recorded for more than 325 thousand hectares. Over 1,650 people and 250 units of equipment stew the fire. Due to the wind, dry and hot weather, the flame is rapidly spreading.
