Trump: In Gas, People Die Of Hunger

US President Donald Trump said that people are dying of hunger in the gas sector, and promised to deal with this problem. He reported this in an interview with Fox News television channel before departure from the UAE – the last point of his Middle Eastern tour.

According to Trump, the three leaders with whom he met during the trip drew his attention to the humanitarian disaster in gas and a lack of food. “I started working on this issue. This is a deep problem, but we will solve it,” he said.

Russian-Ukrainian war

Speaking about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Trump emphasized the need for a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I have a good relationship with Putin. I think he is tired of this war. We must meet, and perhaps we are already starting to plan it,” he said.

At the same time, Trump recalled a difficult conversation with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during a meeting in the White House: “The negotiations were difficult. I did not like much of what he said. This did not contribute to the decision.”

Syria and “young and attractive” president

Trump also stated that after a visit to Saudi Arabia, he decided to cancel sanctions against Syria. According to him, the interlocutors informed him that the sanctions were preventing Syria from recovering.

He added that he wants to “give a chance” to Syria and its new President Ahmed Shara. “I met with the new leader of Syria. He is a pretty attractive guy – young and pretty,” Trump said.
