Trump: Russia And Ukraine Are Not Yet Ready For World

US President Donald Trump said that his attitude to a possible peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine is “both realistic and optimistic,” but emphasized that the parties are not yet ready for such a step. He said this in a telephone interview with CBS News.

“I observe, I see and talk about this (peaceful agreement) with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and (President of Ukraine Vladimir) Zelensky. Something will happen, but so far they are ready. But this will happen. We will achieve this,” the American leader said. The diplomatic approach is to “collect leaders at the same table and under their leadership to mediate in the conclusion of a peace agreement.” According to him, even when searching for quick solutions, patience is necessary, but in other peaceful initiatives this year, such a strategy justified itself.
