Trump Signed Decree On Extension Of Deadline For Trade Agreements

US President Donald Trump signed a decree on the transfer of the deadline for the conclusion of trading agreements from July 9 to August 1. The respondent decree was published on the official website of the White House.

The document recalls the statement of Trump from April 2, in which he noted that the continuing growth of US foreign trade deficiency is an extreme threat to national security. In this regard, the introduction of additional customs duties for a number of countries was provided.

It is indicated that additional tariffs for some trading partners, with the exception of China, were temporarily reduced to 10% for a period of 90 days – from April 9 to July 9.

It is reported that President Trump decided to extend this delay until August 1, based on new information and the course of ongoing negotiations with trading partners.

It is also emphasized that the resolution of May 12, according to which the tariffs for imports from China were reduced by 90 days, remains in force.

Trump also signed a decree on the termination of state support for renewable energy in the framework of the new law on tax-budget regulation, which entered into force last week.
