Trump Signed Decrees For Development Of Supersonic Flights And Strengthening Drone Industry In United States

US President Donald Trump signed a number of decrees aimed at resuming supersonic air travel and strengthening the competitiveness of the United States in the industry of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) amid the growing influence of China in this area.

According to the White House, within the framework of the new decrees, it is necessary to mitigate the restrictions on the use of UAVs, in particular, permission to use them outside the direct visibility of operators both for commercial purposes and in the field of public security.

The Federal Civil Aviation Department (FAA) is instructed to use artificial intelligence to accelerated processing applications for the operation of drones.

Documents provide for the expansion of the powers of American law enforcement agencies in the fight against the illegal use of drones, as well as the abolition of the prohibition of supersonic flights within the country in 1973. Another document is aimed at suppressing the activities of transnational criminal groups, including attempts to smuggling drugs across the US border using drones, the transfer of prohibited items to prison and monitoring the work of law enforcement agencies.
