Tsarukyan: Armenia is experiencing difficult times, it is necessary to build a 33-meter statue of Christ

Armenian entrepreneur, head of the opposition party “Prosperous Armenia” Gagik Tsarukyan told that it is planned to build a statue of Jesus Christ in the republic. This is reported in Facebook Politics.

“On the initiative of my family, a competition for the construction of the statue of Jesus Christ on the elevation of the Armenian land is announced. Let it indicate the Armenian people the way to revive and light,” he wrote in his publication Tsarukyan.

The main condition, according to the head of the party – the height of the statue of Christ should be 33 meters, according to the number of years. “Our homeland is experiencing the most difficult times, but Armenians, the first to those who took Christianity, always won the difficulties of faith,” the entrepreneur believes.

At the moment it is unknown when the project is expected.

The world’s largest statue of Jesus Christ is installed on the southeast outskirts of the city of Swiebodzin in Poland. The height of the monument is about 52 m, it is higher than the monument of Cristo de la Concordia in Cochabamba (40.44 m with a pedestal) and the statues of Christ-Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro (39.6 m with a pedestal).
