The possibility of paid confirmation of the authenticity of accounts will appear on Facebook and Instagram.

This was announced in the head of META Corporation Mark Zuckerberg.

“This week we begin to introduce the META VerIfied function – a subscription service that will allow you to confirm your account with the help of a state certificate of personality, get a blue icon, additional protection from accounts for you and direct access to the support service” , – wrote the head of Tsuckerberg on Facebook.

According to him, the cost of verification of accounts will be $ 11.99 per month in web versions and $ 14.99 per month for mobile devices on the iOS system.

The first to use the new function will be residents of Australia and New Zealand, then it will appear in other countries.

Twitter previously announced the introduction of a paid subscription. On November 6, the owner of the social network, Ilon Musk, announced his intention to introduce paid verification of accounts as part of the Twitter Blue subscription. On November 10, the sale of subscriptions was suspended due to an increase in the number of fake accounts. On December 12, the sale of Twitter Blue was resumed, its cost was $ 8 per month, and for iOS users – $ 11 per month.
