In Tunisia, the leader of the Nahda movement Rashid al-Ghannushi was sentenced to 14 years in prison in the case of a “conspiracy against state security”.
According to the official Tunisian news agency TAP, the hearings in this case took place today in the capital’s court of first instance.

The sentences were also sentenced to the accused, who were tried in absentia. Thus, the former head of the presidential administration Nadioskash, the son of Rashid al-Ghannushi Muaz al-Ghannushi, the head of Nahda Adil al-Daada and the former Foreign Minister Rafik Abdussalans were sentenced to 35 years in prison each.
