Turkey: an emergency mode is introduced

The Great National Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey approved the entry into force of the Decree of the President of Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the introduction of 10 provinces of a state of emergency for a period of three months.

Voting on this issue, which was broadcast on the parliamentary television channel, took place on Thursday.

Erdogan on February 7 declared 10 provinces of the country affected by earthquakes, the emergency district and announced the introduction of a state of emergency in them. This presidential decree was to undergo a procedure for approval in parliament. A state of emergency is introduced in the provinces of Adan, Adyyaman, Dyarbakyr, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kerymanmarash, Kilis, Malaya, Osmania and Chanlyurf.

As a result of destructive earthquakes that occurred on Monday, the Epicenter in the Turkish province of Kazakhmanmarash at the moment, the number of dead is 16,170, another 64 194 people were injured, 6,444 buildings were destroyed.
