Turkey and Pakistan are connected by fraternal ties – prime minister

Türkiye and Pakistan are similar to two hearts beating in unison. This was said in an interview with Anadolu Agency (AA) Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Shakhbaz Sharif.

“Despite the fact that we speak different languages, we understand each other with hearts,” the politician noted.

According to him, Pakistan managed to overcome challenges thanks to the support of friendly and fraternal countries, including Turkey.

The politician explained that the country coped with the consequences of destructive floods in August 2022, as well as with rapidly growing inflation.

“Pakistan was drawn into riots last month after the arrest (Imran) Khan as part of the corruption case caused violent protests in the country. State and military facilities are also subjected to attacks,” the politician continued.

According to him, the ex-Prime Minister of the country was charged with “serious corruption and abuse of power” and that “the law should deal with this.”

Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the Turkish people on the re -election of Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the post of president of Turkey. Sharif called it a “significant event.” “We will cooperate very closely with my brother, President Erdogan, a visionary leader who devoted himself to serving people,” said Sharif.

The prime minister expressed the hope that Ankara and Islamabad will be able to raise bilateral relations to an even higher level, strengthen the brotherly bonds connecting two countries and expand economic cooperation.
