Turkey Celebrates Day Of National Sovereignty And Children 23 April

in Turkey on Wednesday, April 23 celebrate the day of national sovereignty and children. This day coincides with the start of the first convocation of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) in 1920 in Ankara.

The Day of National Sovereignty and Children (Tour. Ulusal Egemenlik Ve çocuk Bayramı) is one of the most important state holidays of Turkey, annually celebrated on April 23. It symbolizes two key aspects of Turkish statehood: the establishment of sovereignty and recognition of the significance of children as a future nation.

Annually, on the occasion of a significant date throughout Turkey, concerts and celebrations are held with the participation of children: schoolchildren, musical and dance performances are organized in city squares.

Pupils in schools are preparing special programs devoted to the importance of national sovereignty and the role of children in society.

There is also a symbolic transfer of power: children take places in parliament, ministers and city halls, where they can make speeches and proposals, which symbolizes trust in the younger generation.

This day serves as a reminder that the future of the nation depends on the upbringing and education of the young generation.
