In Turkey, one of the defendants in the murder of the Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrei Karlov Aishe was detained in Turkey.
Aisha is burned is the wife of Shakhin Suguta, the “curator” of the killers of Karlov Mevlut Merty Altyntash in the terrorist organization Fetullah Gulen (Fetö).
The woman was detained by the Main Directorate for the Combat of Turkey Terrorism in the Bayclicdyzu area in Istanbul.
Aisha, who was on the wanted list, was sentenced in absentia to a prison conclusion for a period of 9 years.
During a search in the apartment where it was detained, a mobile phone, SIM cards and electronic media were seized.
The attempt on the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Ankara Andrei Karlov occurred on December 19, 2016 at the Center for Modern Art of Ankara at the opening of the photo exhibition “Russia through the eyes of a traveler: from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka.” A member of the Fetö terrorist organization, a former police officer Mevlut Mert Altyntash, opened fire in the back of the Russian diplomat at 19.05 local time – at the time when the ambassador performed at the opening of the exhibition.
In response to the demand to surrender, the killer answered with shooting, and the special forces soldiers eliminated the terrorist.
Following the investigation conducted by the Republican prosecutor’s office of Ankara, a circle of persons involved in a resonant crime was determined, including the leader of the terrorist organization “Parallel State” (Fetö) Fetullah Gulen.
The investigation came to the conclusion that an ordinary police officer could not have access to information about the schedule of the Russian ambassador, which means that the crime was planned with the support of the intelligence structure.
It also turned out that the data on the schedule of measures with the participation of the Russian Ambassador was transferred to the Altyntash by the former employee of the Information Technology and Relations of Turkey Shahin,
The investigation found a video with Fetullah Gulen, as well as the photo of Karlov and the program of encrypted correspondence, which was used by Gulen’s accomplices.
The trial in the case of attempting an ambassador to the Russian Federation in Ankara launched on January 8, 2019 in the second court on particularly serious crimes of the city of Ankara. The position of the prosecution was announced on March 5, 2020, and the final decision was made on March 9, 2021.
According to the verdict of the court, the defendants of Shahin were burned and Salikh Yilmaz were sentenced to two life -long terms in a strict regime colony under the articles: “Trying to overthrow the constitutional system” and “preliminary murder for terrorist purposes.”
