Turkey demands to issue a Georgian businessman of Turkish origin

Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Jeren Yazgan said that the Turkish side requires the extradition of businessman Galip Oztyurka, detained on May 31 in Batumi on charges of drug storage, Georgia news reports.

“He is a Georgian citizen, one might say, a Georgian businessman. [In Turkey], he was found guilty, and the trial of him ended in 2018. Then we demanded his extradition, we are waiting for this and now,” Turkey’s ambassador said in a conversation in a conversation With journalists in Tbilisi.
