Turkey developed a test determining strains of COVID-19

In Turkey, scientists from University in the city of Izmir developed a test that for three hours determines the strains of COVID-19 coronavirus. This was reported to Milliyet Edition on Tuesday, May 4th.

It is noted that the sequence of coronavirus genes are analyzed using a diagnostic set, based on special software.

“The assessment of the results of the PCR test makes it possible to understand whether the patient’s patient is south African, Brazilian, British strain or initial option,” said Associate Professor of the Izmir Economic University, Deputy Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering Osman Doluca.

It is argued that it will take three hours to obtain the result. Coronavirus strains were successfully discovered during the first experiment, which was held last month.
