Turkey exports over the first half of 2025 increased by 4.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $ 131.44 billion.
Such data “Anadolu” leads with reference to the data of the Ministry of Trade of Turkey and the Assembly of Exporters of Turkey.
During this period, Türkiye exported goods worth 13 billion 293 million 438 thousand dollars to neighboring countries – Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Greece. For comparison, in the first half of 2024, this indicator amounted to 12 billion 679 million 193 thousand dollars, which means an increase of 4.8%.
The largest importer of Turkish products among neighboring countries was Iraq with an export volume of about $ 5 billion. It is followed by Bulgaria – $ 2.2 billion, Greece – 1.8 billion and Georgia – 1.7 billion dollars.
Also, exports grew to the rest of the neighboring countries. The largest export increase – 45% – recorded in trade with Syria, as well as 13.5% with Greece and 8.8% with Azerbaijan.
Export of jewelry to Syria
Particular attention is attracted by the dynamics of jewelry exports to Syria: in the first six months of 2025, their volume amounted to 3 million 861 thousand dollars.
In terms of commodity groups, the export of grain, legumes, oil crops and their processing products – goods worth almost 922 million dollars were delivered to Iraq. Following there are furniture, paper and forest products – export to Iraq amounted to 551 million 827 thousand dollars.
