Turkey found an alternative to tourists from Russia and Ukraine

Turkey decided to diversify the tourist market due to the military operation of Russia in Ukraine and a decrease in tourist flow from these countries. This is reported by Anadolu.

According to the head of the Federation of the hotel of Turkey, Sururi Chorabatyr, Ankara found an alternative to Ukrainian and Russian tourists. To rest in Turkey, demand in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Albania and Britain increased.

“Russia and Ukraine are two important markets for the tourism sector of Turkey, but despite the situation in the north of the Black Sea and as a result, the decline in both markets, since the beginning of the year, as a whole, positive dynamics have been recorded in the general number of foreign tourists in Turkey,” – Socialistry said.

The head of the hotelier federation said that from January to April 2022, Turkey adopted 8.89 million tourists, and the growth of indicators amounted to 172.51 percent compared to the same period last year. Germany became the leader of the tourist flow. The second place was taken by Bulgaria, and the third – Iran. Next are Russia and Great Britain.
