The Minister of Justice of Turkey Bekir Bozdag said that Ankara would not support the membership of NATO Sweden and Finland until they fulfill the obligations to combat terrorism. He announced this on the air of the Akit-TV television channel.
“We should not expect from Turkey a positive decision on the issue of supporting Sweden and Finland until they keep their word,” he said.
Earlier, the President of the United States Joe Biden thanked the Senate of the US Congress for adopting a resolution on ratification of protocols on the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and said that he was looking forward to signing the document.
