Turkey may buy 50 million Chinese vaccines

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters after Friday prayers in Istanbul that Turkey will receive the second large batch of coronavirus vaccines from China.

“If an agreement is reached, Turkey will receive another 50 million doses of the Chinese-made vaccine,” the Turkish president said.

The head of the Turkish state noted that the implementation of the agreement on the first batch of vaccines has not yet been completed.

There are also agreements with Germany and Russia. “Negotiations with the Russian side are continuing,” Erdogan said.
