The process of Sweden entering NATO will not be able to advance until the country provides support to organizations recognized as terrorist in Turkey, wrote the official representative of Turkish President Ibrahim Kalyn on his Twitter.
“We are again saying: the promotion of the process of accepting the country in NATO is not possible until the end of the activities of terrorist organizations is laid. We most sharply condemn these vile actions (an action in support of the RRK terrorist organization – ed.) Against our president in Stockholm . We transferred our reaction and our expectations to the Swedish authorities. The adoption of specific measures against such shares is the requirement of the law and the obligations taken to us, ”he said.
The head of the Communications Department of the Administration of the President of Turkey, Fakhretin Altun, in turn, demanded that Sweden “immediately take all necessary measures against terrorist organizations.”
“Sweden must keep the promises that she gave in Madrid, for joining NATO, which is 70 years old, it is useless to wait for Turkey that Turkey will make any concessions in this matter,” he said.
