The unemployment rate in Turkey in March decreased by 0.1 points compared to the previous month, amounting to 8.6 percent. This was reported at the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k) on Friday, May 10.
According to Tüi̇k, the number of unemployed in Turkey in the age group 15 years and older in March decreased by 19 thousand people compared to the previous month – to 3 million 57 thousand people.
At the same time, the unemployment rate in Turkey in March of this year decreased by 1.4 points compared to the same month last year.
The level of unemployment among men in Turkey is estimated at 6.8 percent, among women – 12 percent.
