Turkey will begin to sell its howitzers Yavuz

Turkish defense company MKE Aş (Makine Ve Kimya Endüstrisi Anonim şirketi) is preparing for the export of the Yavuz self -propelled artillery installations that meet the most stringent NATO standards, reports Anadola.

The howitzer installed on a modified truck chassis with a 6×6 wheel formula is equipped with an armored cabin. Preparation of the system for firing takes about a minute, and the change of position is 2 minutes.

This towed howitzer 155 mm/52-kalibra has already proved itself to be successfully during the operations of the Turkish Armed Forces. The SAU team consists of five people.

The development of MKE Aş solves the problem of mobility and restrictions in the transfer of artillery over long distances. Maximum speed – 90 km/h.

The howitzer is designed for three different types of ammunition, including the 155-mm NATO standard. The firing range of MOD 274 reaches 40 km.

In Mke Aivers, they told Anadol that work is being doubled to double the shooting range.
