Turkey’s Economy Grew By 3.7% In Third Quarter Of This Year

The Turkish economy grew by 3.7% in the third quarter of this year. Data for the third quarter (July-September) of 2025 on Monday, December 1, is provided by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK)

According to preliminary estimates, GDP in the third quarter of 2025 according to the chain volume index increased by 3.7% compared to the same period last year. Thus, the Turkish economy has maintained positive growth dynamics for 21 consecutive quarters.

By production method, GDP at current prices increased by 41.6% compared to the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to 17 trillion 424 billion 718 million Turkish liras. In dollar terms, GDP for the third quarter amounted to 432 billion 880 million US dollars.

When analyzing the structure of GDP by type of activity in the third quarter according to the chain index of volumes compared to last year, growth was recorded in construction – by 13.9%, in financial and insurance activities – by 10.8%, in the field of information and communications – by 10.1%, in taxes on products less subsidies – by 9.6%, in others services – by 7.1%, in industry – by 6.5%, in trade, transport, hotel business and catering – by 6.3%, in professional, administrative and support services – by 4.4%, in real estate transactions – by 4.2%, in public administration, education, health care and social services – by 2.1%. At the same time, agriculture recorded a decrease of 12.7%.

According to the Anadolu survey, economists predicted Turkish economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 at 3.97% year-on-year.
