Turkey’s name is in CSTO

The decision to join NATO can lead to the split of the alliance, with this outcome, Turkey may well think about cooperation with the organization of the collective security agreement (CSTO), RIA Novosti Member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Countering Corruption Adalby Shhagoshev.

“I have already said that the entry of Sweden and Finland to NATO could lead to the split of the alliance. If this happens, we are waiting for Turkey in the CSTO,” said Shhagoshev.

According to the parliamentarian, Erdogan is a serious politician – Turkish cooperation with the CSTO could “turn the situation with international security in a new direction.”

On Monday, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara could not say “yes” to the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO, since it cannot believe their assurances of relations with representatives of the terrorist RPK. If Turkey agrees, NATO, according to Erdogan, “will not be an organization of security, but will become a place where there will be many representatives of terrorists.”
