Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held telephone conversations with President Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahmud, the Public Relations Department under the Presidential Administration reports.
During the conversation, bilateral relations between Turkey and Somalia were discussed, as well as current regional and global issues.
President Erdogan emphasized that Ankara supports Somalia’s desire to develop through democratic mechanisms and will continue to strengthen the help of this country in the fight against terrorism.
He also stated that Türkiye intends to further strengthen cooperation with Somalia in the field of energy and fishing, calling this interaction promising.
In addition, the head of the Turkish state congratulated President Mahmud on the approaching holiday of Kurban-Bayram.
