Turkish athlete Ramil Guliev aims at gold of Olympiad

Turkish athlete Ramil Guliev trains 6 hours a day to bring the 2024 Olympic Games to the Turkish piggy bank.

33-year-old athlete, an ethnic Azerbaijani, has already begun intensive training to prepare for the Olympics, which will be held in Paris next year.

In an interview with Anadol, Guliev said that he had left the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo due to infection with a new type of coronavirus. “I was not in good shape at the Olympic Games due to illness. Everything went very bad for me. Now I give all my strength to the 2024 Olympics and I’m preparing for it. I want to win the Olympic medal,” Guliev said.

According to the athlete, he trains six hours a day. “I have double training for 3 hours each. This lasts 5-6 days a week. I have been working at this pace for 17 years,” the athlete said.
