Chairman of the Turkish Council of the Council on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey (Dei̇k), Exporates, said that in case of positive negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, Turkey and Russia will be able to achieve a targeted indicator of $ 100 billion for two years.

In an interview with an ANADOLA agency, EMMekkibashi said that the DEİK business council was presented at the forum by six Turkish companies.
According to him, Türkiye and Russia set itself the goal of bringing a mutual trade turnover to $ 100 billion, and the current dynamics indicates a high potential to achieve this goal. Ekmekchibashi noted that the Russian side is especially active in the fields of petrochemistry and oil refining, and the investments of Turkish companies that are also interested in the automotive industry and related industries are directed there.
He recalled that earlier participants in the woodworking industry were presented at such events. “We hope that the number of Turkish participants will increase in future forums. Some companies are still refraining from entering the Russian market due to current sanctions. However, we look at peaceful negotiations with great optimism. If we manage to achieve the desired progress, relations between our countries will reach a new level, and we will come close to the goal set by our president. At the end of 2024, at the end of 2024.
