Turkish companies began to block payments on Russian Mir cards

Against the background of anti -Russian sanctions from Western countries, Turkish services that previously accepted payment on Mir cards began to block such operations, Izvestia writes. So, for example, on the Turkish Airlines website it is more impossible to buy tickets on cards issued by a number of Russian banks.

According to information, numerous complaints about blocking this airline on Mir cards from Sberbank, VTB and Tinkoff appeared at the Vinsky forum, which are used by travelers. The airline’s website rejected the payment both via Visa and Mastercard of Russian banks, as well as in the “world” from Sberbank.

Some other Turkish platforms also began to ban operations on cards of the Russian payment system. For example, the popular TT-Turk online store, which delivers to Russia, banned payment on Mir cards of a number of suction banks, including Sberbank, VTB, Novikombank, Svokombank and Opening.

At the moment, some foreign batteries that provide cards in these countries can independently decide on the suspension of MIR service in the network or on sites. This can affect Russian banks under blocking sanctions, Izvestia was told in the national payment system.
