Turkish defense companies increase export supplies

The Turkish aerospace company Türk Havacılık Ve Uzay Sanayii (Tusaş) continues to demonstrate developments abroad.

So, the new items are presented at the largest defense exhibition of the Asia-Pacific region Lima Langkawi 2023 in Malaysia.

In an interview with Anadolu, the head of the marketing and communications department Tusaş Bertan Kurt said that since 2018 the company has adhered to stable growth strategies.

According to him, thanks to the entry of products to the market, the company received orders for $ 1 billion in 2022.

Over the past 5 years, the company signed contracts with 13 countries totaling 3.3 billion dollars, Kurt said.

Such developments of the company as AnKA shock drones were implemented in 6 countries, aksungur – in 2 countries, ATAK helicopters – in 3 countries, Hürkuş aircraft – in 2 countries and şi̇mşek (high -speed target guidance system) – into one country. A number of deliveries have already been transferred to customers.

At the moment, the company put 4 ATAK helicopters on the Philippines, 3 ANKA UPAs in Kazakhstan, 2 Aksungur drones in Kyrgyzstan, 3 Hürkuş aircraft and 2 ANKA BPAs, 2 Hürkuş aircraft in Niger and 5 Anka BPA in Tunisia.

Over the past three years, Tusaş signed a new contract for business development in the amount of about $ 2.5 billion.

At the same time, the company continues efforts aimed at increasing export supplies. So in the first three months of the year, the company signed a contract worth $ 300 million. Tusaş plans to make new sales in the amount of $ 2 billion due to serial production of ATAK helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles Anka and Aksungur, as well as Hürkuş aircraft.

Among the goals for 2023 – access to the market of South America.

The cost of new contracts expected abroad in 2023 is estimated at about $ 3 in billion.

The volume of the Tusaş escort over the past five years has amounted to $ 2.5 billion. This year the company expects to increase sales to $ 1 billion.
