Speaking at the event, the Turkish ambassador to Bishkek Mekin Mustafa Kemal Okhem said that the coup attempt on July 15 was suppressed thanks to the determination of the Turkish people, security forces and the leadership qualities of the president.
“We gathered here to honor the memory of our brave citizens who fell by the death of the Shehid (Martyr) and remind of the struggle of our people for democracy on the occasion of the Day of Democracy and National Unity July 15,” the head of the diplomatic mission.

The ambassador recalled that the members of the Fetö terrorist organization, who penetrated the Armed Forces of Turkey, tried to capture state institutions of the country on the night of July 15.
“The attempt to a coup on July 15 was suppressed, thanks to the decisive resistance of the Turkish people, the security forces and the leadership of our president. From the moment of the coup, legal procedures were carried out, and the perpetrators appeared before the court. The cells of the terrorist organization within state structures were liquidated,” he emphasized.
The ambassador also noted that the Turkish authorities are making efforts to eliminate Fetö structures abroad.

In addition, a photo exhibition called “Victory -Turkey Name”, prepared by the public relations department under the administration of the President of Turkey, opened at the Kyrgyz -Turkish University of Manas.

Speaking within the framework of the program, the Turkish Ambassador Okhem said that Fetö is an organized spy structure with external ties.
Rector of the University of Manas, Professor Alpaplan Jaylan, noted that the coup attempt on July 15 left a deep mark not only in the history of Turkey, but the entire Turkic world.
