Turkish Exports To Neighboring Countries Reached $23 Billion In 10 Months Of Year

Turkey’s exports in the first 10 months of this year increased by 3.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching $224.6 billion. Such data is provided by Anadolu with reference to the Ministry of Trade of Turkey.

Turkey in January-October of this year exported products worth 22 billion 926 million 591 thousand dollars to neighboring countries – Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Greece. In the same period in 2024, this figure was 22 billion 121 million 129 thousand dollars. Thus, exports to these countries increased by 3.6% year on year.

The largest volume of Turkish exports went to Iraq – about $8.3 billion. This is followed by Bulgaria – $3.8 billion, Greece – $3 billion and Georgia – $2.1 billion.

The largest increase in exports in January-October was recorded to Syria – approximately 52%, Greece – 7.6% and Azerbaijan -7.4%.

The chemical industry ranks first among Turkey’s export destinations to neighboring countries. This sector exported products worth 3 billion 581 to seven neighboring countries. million 841 thousand dollars.

Followed by the sector of grains, legumes, oilseeds and products of their processing (2 billion 596 million 690 thousand dollars) and steel (1 billion 731 million 119 thousand dollars).

Minimum exports fell on the category “ornamental plants and products made from them” – 32 million 469 thousand dollars.
