Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced the start of the first Conference of Consuls General taking place in Ankara. The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced this on the social network of the Turkish platform NSosyal.
“Thanks to this conference on the topic: “Our consulates general in the context of foreign policy vision,” we strive to improve the quality of services provided to our citizens abroad, as well as identify goals for the future,” the minister wrote.
Hakan Fidan noted that during the event, representatives of ministries and partner institutions serving the Turkish diaspora abroad will meet for a comprehensive assessment of all areas of work.
According to the minister, during the conference there will be regional and thematic sessions devoted to issues directly related to the activities of the consulates general, including the economy, public diplomacy, culture, international promotion, education, migration and information technology.
“I wish that our conference will benefit our state, nation and citizens living abroad,” Fidan concluded.
