we remind you that after the vile defilement of the Holy Book of the Koran on June 28 to the Mosque in Stockholm, the Council for Human Rights of the United Nations (UN) by its resolution of July 12, 2023 determined attacks on the Qur’an as a manifestation and inciting of religious hatred, ”the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

Further in the text of the statement says:

“We expect Sweden, within the framework of its international obligations, especially obligations to the UN, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Council of Europe, will take the necessary measures to prevent crimes on the basis of hatred against Islam and billions of its followers.”

Foreign Ministry claims that Turkey supports efforts and continues to work together with all countries that oppose Islamophobia, xenophobia, racism and discrimination.
