Turkish Foreign Ministry Congratulates Azerbaijan On Victory Day

The Turkish Foreign Ministry congratulated Azerbaijan on Victory Day, which is celebrated in the country on November 8.

“Congratulations on the fifth anniversary of the Victory, which the Azerbaijani people won with determination and heroism. We honor with respect and gratitude the memory of all the heroes who gave their lives for their native land,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a message posted on the social network.

Azerbaijan on Saturday, November 8 marks the fifth anniversary of Victory Day, a public holiday dedicated to the liberation of a significant part of the occupied territories and victory in the 44-day Second Karabakh War.

On December 3, 2020, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an Order establishing September 27 in Azerbaijan as Remembrance Day.

According to another Order of the Azerbaijani leader, the day liberation from occupation of the city of Shushi – November 8 in the Republic of Azerbaijan is solemnly celebrated as Victory Day.
