Turkish government will discuss membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO

In Turkey, the government of the country at a meeting, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, May 23, will consider the issues of joining NATO and Finland in a priority, TRT reports.

It is noted that the government also plans to discuss counteracting terrorism and operations, which are carried out by Turkey’s security forces in the country and beyond – in Iraq and Syria.

In addition, the issues of resolving the crisis in Ukraine and the diplomatic efforts that Turkey is in this direction, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, events in Libya and Afghanistan will be discussed.
